The New Jersey pop-punk band reunites to tour for the first time since 2016.

Few releases capture the spirit of 2010's pop punk like Major League's, "The Truth Is...". Released at the turn of the decade as the bands breakout EP, Major League takes us on a seven song journey of punchy drum lines and infectious hooks that are still stuck in our heads a decade later. And thank goodness they are, as the band's frontmen, Brian Anthony Joyce and Nick Trask have reunited to tour this year for the first time after disbanding in 2016.

Earlier this year, Major League dipped their feet back into the water on a co-headlining tour with Hit The Lights. Today, they're on their opening run for Belmont on their BETWEEN YOU & ME 10 YR ANNIVERSARY TOUR. Major League takes the Basement East stage for their first show ever in Nashville with some familiar and fresh faces with drummer Jon Brick, Livi Dillion on the bass, and bringing on Nick's brother, Kyle, on the guitar.

Halfway through the set, lead vocalist, Nick, and lead guitarist Brian, take a brief moment to discuss what it means to come back to the stage, and why they left it behind in the first place. To a quiet room, Brian discusses a falling out the pair had, and that they hadn't spoken in over ten years. When the 15th year anniversary of The Truth Is... came around, they decided to release their first vinyl pressing to commemorate it. Much to their surprise, fans of Major League had stuck around and quickly sold it out. The pair agreed to meet at a diner to "just talk, no music" and realized how much they missed having one another in their lives. After meeting up, that pact was quickly broken as the band's latest single, Heavenly Hell, was born out of it.

I was lucky to talk to Nick and Brian after their show, thanking them for returning to the stage and music altogether. Even after hearing of their disbandment, The Truth Is... remained a constant in my headphones all these years later, bringing me back to 2013 whenever I'd hear that faint intro of From States Away before the song erupts into its full, explosive sound. To see their name on a lineup was a dream come true for 13-year-old me. Hoping this wouldn't be the last time I'd get to seem them play again, lead singer, Nick assured me, "We're not going anywhere."

Catch Major League on tour with Belmont, Spite House and all in ur head, and listen to their first single back together, Heavenly Hell, released July 24th, 2026.
